How To Organize Your Exercise

The key to staying healthy and in shape is working out. You would normally ask yourself what do I do when you start working out. This stems to other quesitons like how long you should workout or how many times do you have to do it in a day or in a week. Planning your exercise can get you the results that you want and the right amount of exercise your boy needs that's why it is important.

A principle that you can follow when planning your exercise routine is FITT. FITT stands for frequency, intensity, type and time. Frequency means the number of times you will exercise. The number of times you have to workout is usually calculated per week and if your goal is to lose weight or if you are a beginner, it is recommended that you start 3 or 4 times a week. Intensity is referring to the difficulty level of the exercise. You will need to asses your personal ability for this one because you need to know how heavy you can lift, how fast you can go, how many repetitions and sets you can do and how long you have to rest in between sets. Time is basically how long you would be working out per session or per day. Type is what kind of exercise you will be doing like cardio or resistance exercises and what specific exercise you will be doing like aerobics or weight lifting.

You will be able to find out what exercises you should start with and eventually create a long term plan so you can get your goal with the help of the FITT principle. You will be able to choose the right exercise and the level of difficulty you need to start with in order to lose weight more effectively. By applying FITT to your planning, you are allowing yourself to give your workout more variety, burn more calories when you workout, track your progress and keep yourself from over training or getting injured. This helps you make your exercise more fun and keeps you from sustaining any injuries that may hinder you from any physical activity in the future. Getting the advise of a fitness instructor or a doctor is never a bad idea and that will let you make the workout fit for you especially if you have any conditions that may require special consideration.

If you already have a workout routine and looking for a way to take it to another level, you can use this principle so you can determine which direction you want to go in terms of losing weight, toning your body or just keeping in shape. Commitment is something you have to have when you plan your exercise. You can never get anywhere with just looking at a map.

Exercise needs planning so it can be done right like anything that we do. By following the FITT principle, you will be able to stay fit.
